Scope of work includes but is not limited to modernizing the existing two passenger elevators which shall include the replacement of the existing controller with a new non-proprietary controller utilizing an integral fully digital 12-pulse SCR drive. The existing geared traction machines and DC hoist motors shall be retained. All renovation work shall conform with the historic character of the building. Work will be performed at the Federal Building/U.S. Courthouse, 1300 S. Harrison St., Fort Wayne, Indiana. The completion time for this project is 155 calendar days for the modernization and the project also contains one option for a three year maintenance agreement. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1796. The estimated price range for the modernization is between $100,000.00 to $500,000.00. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Administration Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The Solicitation will be available on or about January 1, 2000.
