E-MAIL: James Debelius, James.M.Debelius.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) plans to issue a Request For Offer (RFO) for Test Equipment Calibration and Repair (TECR) Services. However, offerors should note that this is a Draft RFO for industry comment. This draft solicitation package is for information and planning purposes only. No proposal is requested and no contract will be awarded as a result of this DRFO. The purpose of the acquisition is to provide TECR services to GSFC's laboratories. GSFC currently has approximately 15,600 pieces of equipment that may need TECR services on a regular basis or a case-by-case basis. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, performance-based contract with a two-year basic period of performance and three one-year options. The provisions and clauses in the DRFO are those in effect through FAC 97-14. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 8731 and 1,000 employees respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFO5-52006-502 is on or about January 21, 2000 with a proposal due date of approximately February 21, 2000. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal, upon RFO release, which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
