Diesel Fuel Tanks, (5) Clean and Inspect Holding Tank, (6) Preserve
Barge Spuds, Spud Wells and Renew Spud Well Liners, (7) Remove, Inspect
and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (8) Straighten Propulsion Shaft, (9)
Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings(s), (10) Remove and Reinstall
Propeller, (11) Minor Repair and Reconditioning of Propeller, (12)
Clean and Test Grid Coolers, (13) Preserve Transducer Hull Rings and
Renew Depth Indicating Transducer, (14) Overhaul, Renew and Test
Valves, (15) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies, (16)

Buttons, and (30) Routine Drydocking. Vessel's homeport is located at
South Broad Street in Mobile, AL. The vessel's availability date is 10
April 2000. The performance period is Forty-two (42) calendar days,
starting 10 April 2000. The place of performance is geographically
restricted to the area from Brownsville, TX to Carrabelle, FL via the
Intra Coastal Waterway. Vessel is a 75 Foot "D" Class Inland
Construction Tender with a 68 Foot, 6 and 1/2 Inch Barge. Vessel's
minimum depth of water is six (6) feet. Vessel's height clearance is
forty-one (41) feet. All reference documents are available for viewing
at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A
non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified
check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are
available for all cutters and will be provided free of charge to
contractors upon request ten days from solicitation issuance. This
procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged
to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications
will be issued on or about 14 January 2000. All responsible sources
may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast
Guard. "ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term
Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of
lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation
