The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of contractors to provide medical consultant services for the following specialty: Otolaryngology. This procurement will be for commercial item services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Consultation services shall consist of the contractor's review of SSA Disability Case Files. There will be no contact with patients. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The period of performance shall be one year form the date of award, with provisions for the inclusion of four one-year option periods. Solicitation number SSA-RFQ-00-0173 is scheduled for release on or about January 14, 2000, with proposals due 21 days later. Requests for the RFQ should be received no later than 10 days after the date of this publication. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored.
