The contract is with Beta Analytics International, Inc., 9600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. This contract was awarded competitively under Small Business Set-Aside in April 1995 and provides Access Control Operations for BMDO. The extension will cover 18 months to include a twelve-month base period and a six-month option. This requirement is in response to the consolidation of BMDO's mission operations from five locations in three buildings with separate requirements and equipment, to one location in the Navy Annex. At this time equipment requirements are still undefined and specific dates for move-in are not available. In early FY01 when schedules, equipment, and facilities requirements are defined a competitive solicitation will be issued for these same services. The modification will be issued on a sole source basis as there is no known source that can provide necessary continuity, comparability of service, response time and cost effectiveness during the period affected. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability, in writing, to perform this requirement within the schedule, time, and budget allotted.
