Coast Guard Station Castle Hill, Newport, RI. a. Repointing all the
brickwork, except where indicated otherwise on drawings. b. Replace
cracked or damage brick c. Replace deteriorated wood door surroundings
and trim d. Re-caulk windows and doors as indicated on drawings e.
Repaint 3 door surrounds and 3 metal doors. Optional bid Item 1
includes the following work at the station building: a. Replacing 7
deteriorated steel angle lintels and associated flashing and brick jack
arches. b. Replacing cracked or damaged brick. c. Repairing a bulkhead
and foundation drains at the west elevation d. Re-caulking windows and
doors as indicated on drawings e. Selective repointing at various
locations Completion Time is 60 calendar days from receipt of the

subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables
firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0
million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
