The Naval Air Systems Command no longer intends to issue a modification to General Electric Aircraft Engines(GEAE) for the teardown and inspection of engine 910014 under contract N00019-97-C-0114. After further review of the requirement the Navy decided that the teardown and inspection may not be sufficient to determine the future use of engine 910014. GEAE is the original manufacturer and only known source possessing requsite knowledge, experience, and technical data required to provide F414 support.
