This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotation (RFQ) number 00X211108 is for Micron NetFRAME 7x24 support, available on a sole source basis from Sarcom Washington, located at 375 Prince Georges Blvd., Upper Marlboro, MD. The Contractor shall provide on-demand break/fix hardware support for the Program Support Center's Administrative Operations Service, Division of Technical Support, Information Technology Branch (PSC/AOS/DTS/ITB) Micron NetFRAME server equipment. Equipment listing includes (one each) NF 9008 System model A; part number NFR-10401A, (two each) PCI FDDI CARD; part number NFR-12123A,(one each) AMI MEGA-RAID PCI CARD w/32mb memory; part number NFR12133A, (one each)1 GIG RAM; part number NFR-12353A, (Fiveeach) CLUSTERSTORE 9000, 8.7GB WIDE-SINGLE ENDED DRIVE; part number NFR-12864A, (one each) FIXED INTERNAL 2GB BOOT DRIVE; part number NFR-12865A, (two each) NF9008 POWER SUPPLY; part number NFR-13520A and (two each) NF8500 SYSTEM MODEL; part number NFR-8500. The Contractor shall provide one (1) hour callback and 4-hour on-site support seven days a week, 24 hours a day for a one year period. The Contractor shall be a Micron Authorized Service Provider. Engineers shall be Micron certified. Dispatched engineers shall be Novell certified as well. Mission critical parts shall be provided by Micron. Mission critical parts must be warehoused in the Washington Metropolitan area. Only Micron supplied components will be covered. Mission critical parts include, but are not limited to, processors, system boards, memory boards, RAM, cables, fans, fixed disk storage, tape drive storage, CD storage, controllers and modems. The Contractor shall provide pro-active support to the NetFRAME hardware and software system updates as well. Pro-active support includes site survey of firmware and patch revisions; updates to firmware and NetFRAME specific drivers; network operating system patches and updates as required; and configuration recommendations for optimum performance and fault tolerance. The period of performance shall begin at contract award and continue for one (1) year. All items shall be delivered FOB Destination to the PSC/AOS/DTS/ITB, Parklawn Building, Room 2A-53, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20857. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 7378 with a small business size standard of $18.0 million.
