CONSTRUCT SPURS, SOUTH BASE, EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, CALIFORNIA. JOB
DESCRIPTION: This Project provides for demolition/removal of an
existing CMU blocked walled, built-up roof Test Support Facility/Shack
(112 SM) and replacement with new similarly constructed structure. The
primary project effort will apply to constructing three (3) new
Portland Concrete Cement aircraft parking Spurs. The Spurs will be
bordered with approximately a 15 M wide asphaltic concrete (A/C)
shoulder. The Spurs are needed to increase flexibility and accommodate
test operation changes in support of the B-1, B-2, and B-52 aircraft.
In addition, the Spurs pavement work will involve new base course,
water/runoff control, basic utilities, instrumentation support,
electrical distribution/lighting (Spur lighting), communication, fuel
systems and site improvement (fencing, grading, etc.). SIC CODE: The
procurement will be conducted under SIC CODE 1611. The size stamdard
for this SIC CODE is $17,000,000.00. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: This is a
Design/Build Project; the offeror chosen will complete the design and
construct the facility. The acquisition method is negotiated
procurement. A technical and cost proposal will be required. Evaluation
by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents
the best advantage to the Government. The Bidders attention is directed
to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the Tour
of the Site. The estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and

plans and specifications using CD-ROM only. There is no charge for the

the CUT OFF DATE of 01/14/2000 to insure receipt of Bid Sets (free of
charge). Plans and Specifications can only be ordered electronically by

Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE of 01/14/2000 will not be
honored. Plans and Specifications will be mailed out on or about
01/18/2000. Because a limited number of sets will be produced, copies
are limited to one set per firm. All responsible sources may submit a
