The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division will be releasing a solicitation (N00178-00-R-1027) on a sole source basis to Raloid Corporation during the First Quarter of Calendar Year 2000 to provide for the production of Shroud Fragment Assemblies (SFA) and miscellaneous shroud and warhead hardware. These SFAs and hardware will be used to support development activities for the STANDARD Missile program. Raloid is the only qualified vendor and meets all program requirements for use of qualified and current STANDARD Missile vendors. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will have a period of performance not-to-exceed 4 years consistent with MK 45 Mod 12/14 and Land Attack Missile (LASM) developments. Any vendor who is currently qualified for the production of Shroud Fragment Assemblies (SFA) should submit evidence of certification to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Attention: Code SD112, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 by close of business 13 January 1999;otherwise, Raloid Corporation will be the sole source for this acquisition.
