SIZE/DIMENSIONS: Diameter 3.5 inches, Length 51 inches. FORM/FIT/FUNCTION DESCRIPTION: The Fan Drive Shaft connects the low pressure turbine rotor to the Fan Front Shaft. The Fan Drive Shaft is turned by the low pressure turbine rotor and in turn the Fan Drive Shaft turns the Fan Front Shaft which is attached to the Fan Rotor Assembly. The Fan Drive Shaft transmits power to the Fan Front Shaft from the low pressure turbine rotor which drives the fan blades. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL OF MANUFACTURE: Inco 718 Super Alloy High Temperature. APPLICABLE TO: TF34-100A Engine. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. Goverment furnished drawings and specifications are not available.
