rothermelrj@nnsy.navy.mil. It is the intent of the FISC Norfolk Naval
Shipyard Annex to solicit for nine (9) each 300 series stainless steel
material demineralizers with an usable capacity of three cubic feet
with a maximum diameter of sixteen (16) inches. The demineralizers will
be furnished with varying water processing materials including H-OH
resin, charcoal or macroreticular resin. The vessels will meet ASME
code for boiler and pressure vessel, Section VI and will require a code
stamp. The vessel will require specific overall envelope dimensions and
specific end connection sizes and locations. Vessel will also have
permanent lifting lugs fabricated, installed, tested, and inspected in
accordance with NAVSEA 0989-030-7000, "Lifting Standard". Vessel
drawings will be required to be submitted for review and approval prior
to construction. The Government anticipates awarding a contract for a
base year with four one-year options. This quotation will be awarded as
a requirements type contract under FAR Part 13.5 -- Test Program for
Certain commercial Items. All options will be evaluated with the base
period. Closing date to be established when the quotation is issued.
