for a real-time comprehensive monitoring systems for the U.S. and
international financial markets and news. This source must provide
on-line price and volume information for U.S. and internation stock
options futures markets, as well as news wires. The service shalll
offer (1) real-time access to all major domestic and international
stock and future exchange worldwide, (2) comprehensive financial news
coverage of all major international and domestic corporations, (3)
multi-windor data access, (4) real-time data exchange and manipulation,
(5) access to U.S. and international Government Bond and Eurobond
quotes and news, and (6) graphics, and mouse command features. The SEC
has determined through market surveys and extensive research in
related periodicals and documents that Reuters America Inc., 1333 H.
Street, N.W., Suite 600, Washington, D.C. 20005, provides critical
source of market data needed for our oversight of the markets and is
capable of meeting the above-stated government's requirements.
Accordingly, the SEC intends to solicit and negotiate with one source
Reuters America Inc. for services referenced above. Contract
performance period is October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. See
