Furnish flight services fully contractor operated and maintained consisting of one airplane, DeHavilland DHC-6 or equal in support of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service sea otter surveys in the Aleutian archipelago from Unimak Island to Near Islands. Surveys will consist of slow and low level flights along coastlines and coves. Surveys will be based out of Adak, Shemya, and Dutch Harbor Alaska. The aircraft shall have two forward emergency exit windows with two Contractor-furnished bubble windows. The aircraft shall also have a contractor furnished 100-gallon, minimum, auxiliary fuel tank system, comprised of a FAA approved system supplemented with non-FAA approved additional tanks. Pilots with experience in survey work in the Aleutians and coastal Alaska are preferred. Period of performance is 30 days starting approximately April 10, 2000 with an estimated 210 hours of flight and includes an option to extend for a period not to exceed 15 calendar days.
