D -- PEDIATRIC DRUG USE PILOT SOL 267204-00 DUE 011000 POC Debbie Hammond, Contracting Officer, (301) 827-7157, Fax (301) 827-7039 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), has a requirement that will be awarded to Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), Pediatric Health Information System, Shawnee Mission, KS, on a sole source basis. This requirement involves the gathering of data to estimate inpatient pediatric utilization of drugs in children's hospitals. CHCA will provide the FDA with such data estimating the prevalence of pediatric drug utilization in children's hospitals, including the percent of patients receiving the drug, their diagnoses, and estimated average of days on therapy for eleven (11) drugs requested by FDA. CHCA will also provide the FDA with access to a senior analyst to obtain information to develop sound projection methodology. This may include assistance in defining filters and patient population definitions to allow projection to the universe of children's hospitals.
