The work to be performed consists of the following: (a) Excavating material to form the subgrade base for an access road, the foundation for gabion retaining walls, the channel alignment and manhole, (b) remove the concrete weir structure, (c) furnish and install a 4 foot section of a manhole, (d) fabricate and install miscellaneous metalwork, (e) install cobble protection for erosion control with geotextile, and (f) furnish and install gabion baskets with geotextile. The work is situated in Tom Green County, approximately 10 miles south of San Angelo, Texas, at the down stream base of Twin Buttes Dam, South Concho Outlet. The due date for the Request for Quotations (RFQ) is tentatively scheduled for February 3, 2000. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This will be set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 1629. The small business size standard is $17.0 million.
