D -- FRAME RELAY TECHNOLOGY FOR WAN INTERNET ACCESS SOL DEA-00-R-0010 DUE 011400 POC Contract Specialist: Duane Allen Knoepfel 202 307-7819, Contracting Officer Jeff Saylor (202) 307-4366 The Drug Enforcement Administration intends to enter into a sole source contract with Bell South Communications of 1800 Century Blvd. N.E., Suite 700, Atlanta, Georgia 30345 for additional frame relay connections to accommodate the WAN and mission critical connections. The DEA intends to procure NNI services from Internet Communications, Inc. of 360 Interstate North Parkway, Suite 500, Atlanta, Georgia 30339, who will provide NNI connections at $455.00 for 512Kbps, and $230.00 for 256 Kbps per month to support the Gulf Coast HIDTA. Installation Services will be provided for six locations supporting the Gulf Coast HIDTA centered in Metairie, Louisiana. Monthly connection will then be provided with T1, 512kbps, and 256 kbps ISDN lines for an estimated 10 lines for five years (base plus four one-year options). Due to the architecture of the WAN and existing BellSouth/ICI equipment, it is believed that no other vendor can provide the same security, economy and functionality as the existing system.
