F -- GROUND APPLICATION OF HERBICIDES AT YAKIMA TRAINING CENTER, YAKIMA, WA SOL DAKF57-00-B-0004 POC Diane Zientek, Contract Specialist, (253) 967-2151, ext. 210 Perform ground application of herbicides from four wheel drive truck, ATV, or hand (backpack) in rugged terrain to accomplish the following: Schedule A Application of herbicides from four wheel drive truck or All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) to accomplish the following: Spot application of picloram (trade name: Tordon 22-K) to knapweed species within 100 feet of unimproved roads and trails; Application of residual herbicides to maintain bare ground firebreaks; Apply non-residual herbicides to improved road shoulders in range areas; and other vehicle applied herbicides subject to need. Schedule B-Spot application of herbicides using backpack sprayers in areas not accessible by vehicle. Base item target species is Purple loosestrife distributed in approximately 100 acres. Option for other species subject to need. This procurement consists of two schedules. These schedules may be bid and awarded separately or together. These applications will be performed at various locations throughout Yakima Training Center,a 357,000 acre sub-installation of Fort Lewis located Northeast of Yakima, Washington. Contract period will consist of Base Period and four option periods. Work for the base period shall start in March or April 2000. The proposed procurement listed here is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns.
