This requirement will be procured as a Small Business Set-Aside Competition. This solicitation is being conducted under SIC Code 8731. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT), has a requirement for support services for Occupational and Residential Pesticide Exposure Assessments and relevant information necessary for the EPA to fulfill the requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), and the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) and any other Executive Order or legislative requirement. The specific objectives (1) are to perform technical reviews of pesticide exposure studies; (2) provide technical support for registration and reregistration actions relating to occupational and residential exposure and risk assessments; (3) provide technical support in developing or revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Pesticide Assessment Guidelines for Exposure studies; (4) evaluate worker protection issues relating to pesticide exposure and pesticide product labeling; and (5) provide other related technical support in the general subject areas of exposure and risk assessments of pesticides. EPA anticipates the award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Level of Effort Type contract consisting of the base period plus four (4) twelve (12) month options to commence approximately 1 September 2000.
