Thompsonml@navair.navy.mil. The objective of this contract is to obtain
TACAIR Aircraft Avionics and Flight Simulation/Trainer Analysis,
Modeling, Hardware, Software, Integration and Verification/Validation
Support for the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Air
Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) AIR 4.5. The Naval Air Warfare Center,
Aircraft Division, Patuxent River provides technical support to the
Naval Air Systems Command in the development, updates, verification,
validation and configuration management of the Naval Aircraft Platforms
and Flight Simulators/Trainers. Specific tasks include, but are not
limited to, United States and Threat Aircraft Simulations, United
States and Adversary Aircraft Sensor Suite and Threat Environment
Simulations, Simulation Model Software Verification, Simulation
Laboratory Utilization Analysis, Simulation Laboratory Validation
Preparation, Simulation Model Validation, TACAIR Flight
Simulator/Training Device Configuration Management, Aircraft Avionics
Development, Concept Definition, Planning, Requirements, Analysis, Test
and Evaluation, NAWCADPAX Aircraft Avionics and Flight
Simulation/Trainer Lab Support, and Application Software and Software
Technology Life Cycle Support. The acquisition will be procured
utilizing unrestricted full and open competition. The contract type is
anticipated to be a cost plus fixed fee. The period of performance is
estimated at one base year plus four 1 year options. The estimated
level of effort required is approximately 125,000 hours over the
five-year period, approximately 25,000 hours per year. All responsible
