Box 1000, Perry Point, Maryland 21902-1000 is soliciting for the services of an Architect Engineer (A/E) firm to include but not limited to preparation of design, investigative services, plans, specifications, estimates and construction period services for project 512-800, RENOVATE BUILDING 24H. The work shall include architectural plans with cost estimates of all proposed work, contract drawings and specifications to fully describe, depict and delineate work to be completed by a contractor which includes the complete renovation of the first and second floors of building 24H at the Perry Point Division of the VA Maryland Health Care System for use as a sixty (60) bed intermediate care nursing unit. The renovation of this building will consist of a complete redesign of interior space, the complete replacement of major utility systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electrical, oxygen, air and vacuum systems, nurse call system, plumbing, sprinkler and fire alarm. Asbestos abatement will be required. A complete redesign of interior space will provide ADA compliant bedrooms, private and semi-private bathrooms, nurses station, and other support space. VA space program (H-08-9) will be used as a guideline in redesign of space. Work will include demolition, electrical, carpentry, masonry, asbestos abatement, metal work and any other craft necessary to accomplish the work. THIS ACQUISITION IS GEOGRAPHICALLY LIMITED TO FIRMS LOCATED WITHIN A 150 MILE RADIUS OF THE VAMHCS PERRY POINT, MD (located near Perryville, MD).
