R -- RISK REDUCTION ANALYSIS FOR SOLID WOOD PACKING SOL 36-M-APHIS-00 DUE 012900 POC Kathryn Linde 612-370-2494 The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Riverdale, MD intends to acquire the services necessary for a risk assessment containing among other things, an analysis of "the quantitative and qualitative benefits of the regulation, including the reduction or prevention of risk expected from the regulation." This effort will begin as soon as possible after contract award, anticipated during January, 2000 and will continue for about 13 months per the requested performance schedule. This is a synopsis for request for proposal for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR 15. This procurement will be awarded as a fixed price contract, FOB origin. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. The solicitation, 36-M-APHIS-00, is to be released on or about January 7, 2000.
