This is an Emergency Watershed Protection project on DSR No. B-1, Ft. Bent Headgate Phase II. Work consists of removal of water, approximately 61.2 Cubic Yards of reinforced concrete, approximately 195 Cubic Yards of structure backfill, approximately 72 L.F. of concrete pipe, 3 water control gates, structure removal and approximaly 6 Cubic Yards of rock riprap. It is anticipated that the notice to proceed with work will be issued by February 8, 2000. All work MUST be completed no later than March 15, 2000. Maximum workweek will be 12 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. No bid security is required for bids under $100,000. The contractor awarded the contract will be required to provide an alternative payment security in the amount of 50% of the contract amount in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit within 7 calendar days of award of the contract. USDA participates in the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program; therefore competition for this project is unrestricted and is not set aside for small business concerns.
