On or about Tuesday, January 4, 2000, the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300 will issue Solicitation No. 082530-00-A-0040 for an indefinite quantity construction contract for "Finishes" (wall covering, floor refinishing and interior/exterior painting) within the Middlesex-Central District, specifically the State of Massachusetts (Middlesex, Essex and Worcester Counties). Sealed offers are due in the Windsor office on or before Wednesday, February 2, 2000 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until after award of the contract(s). The term(s) of the contract will be for one year with four one-year renewal options. Work will be defined on work orders issued, as required, for various amounts and types. Initial contract value is $200,000.00. Total contract valuewill not exceed $3,000,000.00 for five years. The work may include any of the items listed in the "Unit Price Schedule" and/or "Specifications" and may be performed at various owned and leased postal facilities within the area covered by the Middlesex-Central District Office. A proposal guarantee will not be required. Performance and payment bonds on Postal Service forms will be required from the successful offeror. Initially a $200,000.00 performance bond is required and a $100,000.00 payment bond. (As the total value of the work orders exceed $200,000.00, additional bonding will be required.)
