This is a synposis/solicitation (RFQ-00-0003) for a service contract for a Mass Spectrometer (ICP/MS)prepared in accordance with the format in Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 12, subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). EPA intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order (PO) for the service contract of a Finnigan Element Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP/MS) for one year. The following clauses and provisions apply: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3; shall be included with any offer, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. EPA intends to award to the Finnigan Corporation, 355 River Oaks Parkway, San Jose, CA 95134-1991. The closing date for RFQ-00-0003 is January 14, 2000. The anticipated award date is Janaury 18, 2000. Proposals for RFQ-00-0003 are due by 1 P.M. MST on January 14, 2000.
