S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIAGE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Argile Consulting for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Purpose of contract is to provide statistically based sampling strategies for Gulf of Alaska Ecosystem Small-Mesh Trawl Survey Monitoring study. Period of contract will be from date of award through 9/30/00. Principal statistician at Argile Consulting is familiar with data structures used by both the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game (ADF&G) and the RACE Division's Shellfish Assessment Program in Kodiak, Alaska. Proposed contractor has also participated in data collection cruises with AFSC and is familiar with how data is collected. Proposed contractor is a former employee of AFSC and has intimiate working knowledge of AFSC's data collection and reporting requirements. Sources with similar qualifications and experience may submit for review, simple requests for solicitation will not be honored.
