Z -- REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF AIR HANDLERS/HEATING VENTILATING UNITS AND UPGRADING OF THE ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEM SOL 51-QANW-0-00405 POC Penny S. The National Data Buoy Center, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to contract for the removal and installation of new air handlers/heating ventilating units and the upgrade of the energy management and control system. The project consists of providing labor, equipment, and materials to replace the air handlers/heating ventilating units and upgrade the energy management and control system (EMCS) in Building 3203, Stennis Space Center, Hancock County, MS. Building 3203 is comprised of 54,102 square feet of standard commercial grade office, laboratory, technical, and industrial shop space. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (1) Full scale asbestos abatement in the third floor mechanical equipment room and piping to the air-handling units; (2) Disconnect and remove existing air-handling units (2 multizone), controls, return fan, spray pump, supply fan, and exhaust fan; (3) Disconnect and remove existing 14 rooftop exhaust fans; (4) Disconnect and remove existing propeller wall exhaust fans in first floor electrical equipment room; (5) Provide and install new multizone air-handling units to replace the existing multizone air handling unit; (6) Provide and install 3 new air-handling units; (7) Provide and install 19 new rooftop exhaust fans. Provide and install new propeller wall exhaust fan in first floor electrical equipment room; (8) Upgrade existing energy management and control systems (EMCS) which includes installation of 4 new modular building controller (MBC) panels; and (9) Demolition of the existing control system. Discrete Option 1: Perform asbestos abatement on hot water piping to 8 heating/ventilating units serving the north High Bay area. Disconnect and remove 8 existing heating/ventilating units. Provide and install 4 new heating/ventilating units. Discrete Option 2: Perform asbestos abatement on hot water piping to 6 heating/ventilating units serving the south High Bay area. Disconnect and remove 6 existing heating/ventilating units. Provide and install 3 new heating/ventilating units. Discrete Option 3: Perform asbestos abatement on hot water piping to 4 heating/ventilating units serving the south High Bay area. Disconnect and remove 4 existing heating/ventilating units. Provide and install 3 new heating/ventilating units. Discrete Option 4: Perform asbestos abatement on hot water piping to 4 heating/ventilating units serving the south High Bay area. Disconnect and remove 4 existing heating/ventilating units. Provide and install 3 new heating/ventilating units. Discrete Option 5: Perform asbestos abatement on hot water piping to 2 heating/ventilating units serving the shop area on first floor. Disconnect and remove 2 existing heating /ventilating units. Provide and install 2 new heating/ventilating units. Bids will be due 30 days after release of solicitation. Estimated release date is January 27, 2000.
