This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1PI-Q-0001-00-BGCB and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 3537 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends this solicitation to result in a firm fixed price, definite delivery contract. This procurement is an open market for a FFP DD, DQ contract. The Governments requirements are as follows: The complete costs for this forklift with all equipment and charges must not exceed $40,000 U.S. dollars. Line item 0001, basic truck two-wheel drive, 6,000 pound with the following standard equipment: 80 HP, 4 cylinder diesel engine with cold start, 4-speed power reversing torque converter dana spicer transmission, heavy duty steering axle, differential lock, overhead guard, side shift mast, hydraulic load accumulator, (4) tires must be self-cleaning and capable of supporting a full load in wet/mud conditions, rubber insulated tilting operators compartment, full instrumentation, transmission dump valve, (2) two front and (2) two rear work lights, adjustable seat with seat belt, backup alarm; Line item 0002, 11' 11" vertical 2-stage, total visibility mast with a 48" shaft type carriage and 48" high load backrest; Line item 0003, 48" length (pair) 1.75" x 5" Pallet forks for shaft carriage; Line item 0004, Cab, all weather-includes front and rear wipers, defroster fan, heater and sound suppression package; Line item 0005, two headlights, two taillights with directional signals; Line item 0006,rotating beacon; Line item 0006, engine block heater.
