following information is provided: The size of the booklet to be
packaged is 8 1/2" by 11", up to 50 sheets of 20 lb paper thick, the
bags will be made out of clear poly, the thickness of the bags must
support range of 1 to 4 mil thick bags, printer should be capable of
printing labels up to 4 inches wide and 35 inches long, print speed is
10 inches per second, the booklets will be fed manually into bagging
system, the twin seal bars will run the length of each side sealed (8
1/2 inch top/bottom, 11 inch side), twin seals should be 3/8 inch
apart. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation
F4HQDO93340100 is issued as a Request For Quote seeking written quotes
for the type of equipment outlined herein and incorporates provisions
and clauses in effect thorough Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14.
This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns,
utilizing the Size Standard in FAR Part 19 under Standard Industrial
Code 3565, and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The
government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order under
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). 12 CONS, Randolph AFB, TX has
a requirement for the following items: 0001 Test Booklet Bagging
Machine capable of opening, sealing, and tearing off bags at high rates
over 100 cycles per minute. Includes Energy Conservation and Component
Saver, Predetermined Counter, Totalizing Counter, Maintenance
Counter/Chart, Twin-Seal Option, Continuous Strip Option, Networking
Capability, Communications Port/Modem, and Anti-Jam device. ADVANCED
POLY-PACKAGING, INC., AKRON, OHIO, ADVANCED POLY BAGGER T-1000, OR
EQUAL. 0002 Optical Dual Palm Buttons for bagging machine, ADVANCED
POLY-PACKAGING PB-20, or equal. 0003 Bag Deflator Device for bagging
machine, ADVANCED POLY-PACKAGING BF-10, or EQUAL. 0004 In-Line Thermal
Transfer Printer capable of printing in 60 font types, 20 types of bar
codes, lines and graphic images. Print labels up to 4_ wide and 35_
long. Print speed is 10_ per second with 203 dpi resolution. On-the-fly
formatting capability. Floating-edge print head, ADVANCED
POLY-PACKAGING T1-1000, OR EQUAL 0005 Software package for thermal
printer with Labelview pro for Windows capable of adding graphics and
merged files, printing special bar code formats, printing in batches
from database, database manager, password protection for labels,
barcode verifiers, and scanner capable for automatic data entry. 0006
Installation, Set-Up, Initial Training, and three-year extended service
and maintenance warranty to include all system parts and labor. 0007
Speedaire features cast iron dual cylinder compressor, 20 gallon tank,
pressure regulator and gauge, 5HP electronic motor, 115 volt, 15 Amp.
Delivers 5.7 CFM @ 90 PSI free air, MODEL 4B227 OR EQUAL. If offering
an equal, Offerors must provide brochures/literature of system being
offered along with their quote. The technical literature submitted
needs to clearly communicate the offeror_s compliance with the minimum
requirements as set forth in response to this solicitation.
Discussions may or may not be held with offeror; therefore each
offeror_s initial quote should be complete and accurate. Contractor
shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, personnel, supervision, and
transportation necessary to assemble and install packaging system and
peripherals in rooms 606 and 607 of Hanger 13, Randolph AFB, TX.
Offerors must provide warranty information specific to all equipment.
