As a result of inquiries, the following information is provided: The size of the booklet to be packaged is 8 1/2" by 11", up to 50 sheets of 20 lb paper thick, the bags will be made out of clear poly, the thickness of the bags must support range of 1 to 4 mil thick bags, printer should be capable of printing labels up to 4 inches wide and 35 inches long, print speed is 10 inches per second, the booklets will be fed manually into bagging system, the twin seal bars will run the length of each side sealed (8 1/2 inch top/bottom, 11 inch side), twin seals should be 3/8 inch apart. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F4HQDO93340100 is issued as a Request For Quote seeking written quotes for the type of equipment outlined herein and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect thorough Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns, utilizing the Size Standard in FAR Part 19 under Standard Industrial Code 3565, and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees.
