DSCC: The Draft RFP for the cost-comparison study for obtaining the most efficient and cost-effective method of providing distribution services in the management and operation of the Defense Distribution Depot Jacksonville (DDJF) located in Jacksonville, Florida is now available at the following address: http://www.suply.dla.mil/a76. Potential offerors are requested to submit comments NLT January 18, 2000 for consideration prior to the final release. The final RFP will be available and issued on January 24, 2000 over the Internet at http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76. The resultant contract, if any, will be awarded on an all-or-none basis as a hybrid fixed-price (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with cost-reimbursement provisions. The contract performance period will be a three-year base period with the potential of an additional two- year option period. This requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. SIC and Size Standard is 4225 -- $18.5M. This solicitation will not result in a contract if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with the OMB Circular A-76 procedures. The Site Visit and Pre-proposal Conference will be conducted on Sunday, February 6 and Monday, February 7, 2000 at DDJF, Jacksonville, Florida. Distinct from the conference is the Hands-on Demonstration of the Distribution Standard System (DSS) transactional system, which will be conducted beginning at 1230 on Monday, February 7, 2000 at DDJF. Only those having confirmed reservations prior to COB January 31, 2000 will be permitted to attend the Pre-proposal Conference and DSS Hands-on Demonstration.
