The work to be performed under this solicitation includes: (1) constructing an approximately 292-foot-long gabion structure; (2) furnishing and placing filter fabric as a separator between the gabion structure and the soils; and (3) hydroseeding and hydromulching. The estimated price range of the work is $100,000 to $250,000. The work is located near the northeastern end of Canyon Ferry Lake, approximately 17 miles east of Helena, Montana in Lewis and Clark County. Solicitation packages are expected to be available 02/15/2000. Requests for solcitations should be received on or before 03/02/2000. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 03/16/2000, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, U.S. Federal Building, 316 N 26th Street, Billings, Montana 59101. The contract is to be completed within approximatley 35 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 N 26th Street, Billings, Montana. Subject to the conditions set forth in the notice below, all responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The small business size standard is $17,000,000 and the Standard Industrial Classification code is 1629.
