Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision
required to replace the roof on the public works building at the USCG
Air Station Detroit, Mt. Clemens, MI. Work shall include the
following: Remove approximately 2940 sq. ft. of multi-ply built-up roof
membrane and insulation materials to concrete decking. Remove
approximately 280 lin. ft. of fascia/gravel stop, and two 24 inch X 16
inch X 48 inch exposed veneer finished chimney. One lead sanitary vent
cover. Two power ventilators and 36 inch X 42 inch curbing. Two 36 inch
X 42 inch covered openings and curbing. Install the following new
materials: All roof insulation materials, roof membranes and flashing
shall be asbestos free. Cover the following openings in concrete roof
deck with 3/8 inch thick steel plates: One 24 inch X 16 inch abandoned
chimney opening. Three 36 inch X 42 inch abandoned ventilator
openings. Approximately 2940 sq. ft. of roof insulating materials.
Approximately 2940 sq. ft. of 2-ply hot mop modified bitumen roof
system. One boot flashing around 4 inch diameter sanitary vent. One hot
stack flashing system. Approximately 280 lin. ft. of aluminum edge
flashing. Relocate existing TV antenna to the edge of building. One
motorized centrifugal roof ventilator and related electrical work. Unit
Work Item: Remove all existing roof membrane system as asbestos
containing material. The SIC Code assigned to this project is 1761.
Estimated range of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. All
