This is a potential technology development and licensing opportunity with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). BBWI is making available for licensing certain mercury control technology concepts that may provide a basis for obtaining Department of Energy (DOE) research and development funding under a recent DOE solicitation. The program on which the solicitation is based is entitled "Testing and Evaluation of Promising Mercury Control Technologies for Coal Based Power Systems." The solicitation can be accessed at http://terreton/regs/1999/dec99/12299901.pdf BBWI is seeking a written indication of interest from companies interested in licensing and commercializing mercury control technology. Licensing may be exclusive or nonexclusive and will include payment of an up-front license fee and a running royalty based on use and or sales of the technology.
