to contract for the Drydock and Repair of USCGC WASHINGTON, a 110'
Patrol Boat that's home moorage in Honolulu, HI. Work will start on 24
April and complete by 2 June 2000. Contractor's drydock facility must
be located in Hawaii. Work items will include; Aft fuel tank repairs,
rudder inspection, underwater preservation, water tank clean/inspect,
sewage/grey water piping cleaning, clean/inspect/balance both
propellers, inverted vent check valves, improve ventilation, battery
space insulation. In accordance with the SBCDP an Invitation For Bid
(IFB) will be issued on 27 Jan 2000. For Women Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority,
Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportaiton-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
