Information (RFI) synopsis. The U.S. International Trade Commission is
performing this Market Research in order to identify sources who
posses the capability and experience to provide preventive maintenance
and repair services for the agency's standard air- conditioning units.
THIS IS NOT AN INDICATION THAT USITC INTENDS TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICE.
A formal solicitation does not exist at this time. The survey is for
INFORMATION ONLY and DOES NOT constitute an Invitation for Bid or
Request for Proposal and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. All responses to this survey must be submitted within 15
days of this notice. The contractor will be required to maintain and
repair all standard air-conditioning units and provide preventive
maintenance by visual inspection for air-conditioning units within the
United States International Trade Commission. Air-conditioners will
include: seventeen Minimate Air-Conditioners, two W/S Heat Pumps, one
Minimate Plus, one Heat Pump, seven Drycoolers, two Power Distribution
Units (PDUs), and three Deluxe Systems. All air conditioning units
were purchased in 1987. The contractor will be responsible for: (1) all
parts and labor; (2) perform six preventive maintenance visits per
year; (3) monitor air conditioning units and notify COTR of existing
problems; (4) replace filters; (5) inspect units for potential
problems; (6) respond to service calls within a 24-hour period except
weekends and holidays; and (7) bill quarterly. The contractor must
indicate that they have the capabilities to satisfy this requirement
and that their technicians are capable of servicing and maintaining all
standard air-conditioning units listed in this Request for Information
(RFI). Contractors will be expected to submit references from
customers for similar work. All submissions must be in writing.
