This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation: F1600-00-T0118 is issued as a Request For Quotation seeking written quotes for the type of service outlined herein and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect thorough Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns, utilizing the Size Standard in FAR Part 19 under Standard Industrial Code 1799, and the Business Size Standard is $7 mil. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). 42 CONS, Maxwell AFB, AL, has a requirement for the following items: 0001- Furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment and transportation necessary to test natural gas lines for leaks, to include mains, service lines, valves and meters at Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex, AL. The pipes to be tested are below ground. The method of detecting leaks will be with above ground detection equipment.
