The procurement requirement is for: CLIN 0001 Qty. 1 ea. Universal Measuring Machine, Pratt & Whitney Part #U306270 Labmaster Universal. CLIN 0002 Qty. 1 jo Digital Measuring Machine Retrofit for Pratt & Whitney's Model 2000 The Calibration Laboratory (Code 72) at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requirement to upgrade its dimensional instrumentation due to the fact that current instrumentation cannot meet increased accuracy requirements and can no longer be maintained because of obsolescence. Items to be calibrated include (but are not limited to) gauge blocks 0-20 inches, thread plug gauges, thread wires micrometers (inside and outside up to 48") dial indicators, ring gauges (up to 7" in diameter), tapered plugs (threaded and non-threaded), and end rod standards (up to 48"). Pratt & Whitney is the only source that can meet the Government's needs since it was the original equipment manufacturer for the equipment to be upgraded. The new Universal Measuring Machine must interface with an existing Pratt & Whitney Measuring System to ensure that all requirements for measurement of NUWCDIVNPT's dimensional instrumentation are met. Pratt & Whitney supplied originally supplied the Digital Measuring Machine that will be modified under CLIN 0002 and the retrofit is required to be performed by them because the Digital Measuring Machine and the Universal Measuring Machine need to interface. No other system is known to interface with Pratt & Whitney's digital measuring machine. This Universal Measuring Machine is used for gauge calibration. Delivery is FOB Destination Newport, Rhode Island 60 days after date of contract award. This procurement is unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification is 3829, 500 employees.
