This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation number for this acquisition is MDA113-00-Q-0040. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This is a sole source requirement being pursued with Olympus Television, who holds the international distribution rights of the programs to be acquired. This requirement is for off-the-shelf programming. There are (2) contract line items. The contractor shall grant the government (Armed Forces Radio and Television Service) the right to reproduce, distribute, and present the programming on authorized AFRTS television outlets outside the contiguous United States twice through each circuit, over a period of three (3) years from date of initial Government distribution, which will begin no later than one year after delivery. The following is a description of the requirements: The contractor shall provide programs on videotape (1"/Betacam SP) along with episode sequencing instructions, US broadcast/cablecast dates and synopsis for each program as follows: Line Item 0001: Quantity: 52 each; WWF Superstars (2000-2001); Episodes 699-750. Line Item 0002: Quantity: One each; Wrestlemania '00 (program must meet contemporary network broadcast standards). Performance period is as follows: Item 0001: One per week commencing no later than 15 Feb 00 for 52 weeks, starting with Episode 699. Item 0002: Will commence 15 Apr 00. FOB point is Destination. Deliver to: AFRTS-BC, 1363 "Z" Street, Bldg 2730, March ARB CA 92518. Responses to this notice shall be in writing and make reference to this RFQ. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors applies to this solicitation. FAR 52.212-2 does not apply to this requirement. The offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-Commercial items, with its offer.
