The vans will consist of a diesel 4X2 truck with a cargo space of about 16 feet long mounted on the back. The contract will also include several line items for optional equipment so that each order can be configured to the customer's needs. The vans are used to transport and operate data-collection instrumentation at various test sites. The vans will have to travel over unimproved roads and sometimes off-road trails. They will be used in a desert setting with extremely high temperatures during the summer months. Commercial procedures are being used to solicit this requirement. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. Award will be made to the vendor offering the best value based on evaluation criteria established in the solicitation.
