A -- ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTATION, REMEDIATION & ENGINEERING STUDIES, FACILITIES ENGINEERING, TECHNICAL DESIGN ANALYSIS, & INSTALLATION MANAGEMENT SUPPORT FOR THE U.S. ARMY SPACE AND MISSILE DEFENSE COMMAND PROGRAMS SOL DASG60-00-R-0003 POC Genna Wooten, Contract Specialist, (256) 955-3407, W.L. Schick, Contracting Officer, (256) 955-3044 The U. S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) intends to enter into a 100% small business set-aside contract to acquire services that will facilitate the planning and execution of an integrated program to satisfy siting, environmental documentation, and facilities planning requirements associated with Department of Defense weapons system acquisition, and as described by DOD Directive 5000.1, "Defense Acquisition"; and to obtain installation level environmental and engineering investigations and oversight at existing SMDC facilities. The Request for Proposal is expected to be issued by 20 January 2000. This date is for planning purposes only and is subject to change. The complete RFP will be available on-line on the USASMDC Contracts Home Page at www.smdc.army.mil/contracts/contracts.html after the proposed issue date. This action will be handled under SIC Code 8731, and a size standard of 1,000 employees. Foreign firm participation will not be allowed at the prime or subcontractor level. The Government contemplates award of a cost-plus-award-fee (CPAF) level of effort type contract, utilizing task assignments as a management tool. The period of performance for this effort will be twelve (12) months for the basic effort with two (2) twenty-four month options. A pre-proposal conference will not be conducted; however, the government will conduct one-on-one conferences approximately ten (10) days after issuance of RFP, by appointment only. The one-on-one conferences will be held in Huntsville, Alabama and each participant will be given an allotment time of one (1) hour. The specific location and dates for the conferences will be announced in the RFP.
