Crow, (907) 786-3415 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to purchase, under a continuing study, production of two audio monitoring systems to monitor ambient sound levels near Eielson Air Force Base and Creamers Migratory Bird Refuge. The remote monitoring audio systems are unique in that they simultaneously monitor and record noise events to determine ambient sound levels, and in addition, record (digitally) as digital .wav files, all noise events over a user-defined threshold. The objectives of this contract are to produce two audio remote monitoring systems by March 1, 2000, and install and field test audio monitoring programs, and deploy for data collection by May 1, 2000.
