So much of SOL 674-00-27, posted in CBDNet on December 21, 1999 is amended to add the following requirements/qualifications: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform coding assignments on outpatient data utilizing official coding guidelines (Coding Clinics, Physicians Current Procedural Terminology Code Book, CPT Assistant, HFCA/AMA, Ambulatory Patient Classifications (APC) in a simulated Medicare environment. The actual coders must possess current credentials of an Accredited Record Technician(ART), Registered Record Administrator (RRA), or a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). The actual coder shall have a minimum of five (5) years training experience as a coder in an outpatient health care environment/organization having all the subspecialties and primary care. Resumes of actual coders shall be included in the bid package and shall also contain a minimum of four (4) current client references specific to each coder.
