In accordance with FAR Part 12, this is a commercial procurement under Standard Industrial Classification Code 7363 with a business size standard of $5.0 million. The VA Medical Center 7305 N. Military Trail West Palm Beach, Florida 33410 has a requirement for temporary certified medical coders to begin on or about March 15, 2000 through March 14, 2001 with one (1) option renewal year. Coders shall have completed an accredited program for coding certification or an accredited health informatin/medical record technician program. Coders shall provide coding and/or review of coding for patients in the abmulatory care setting, eight hours per day, five days per week. Yearly workload is 100% coding/review of an estimated 241,000 encounters in designated clinics. Issue date of solicitation shall be on or about January 24, 2000 with a due date on or about February 24, 2000.
