CONTRACTORS CONFERENCE The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) continues to have a growing need to contract for low security privately-operated beds throughout the United States. It is the Bureau's intent to ensure all interested parties have a clear understanding of requirements. Therefore, the FBOP is conducting a conference to discuss the new contractual and environmental requirements of privatized contracts. The FBOP will discuss in depth environmental requirements and provide guidance to potential contractors to comply with the requirements. The FBOP invites all potential contractors who may be considering participating in FBOP future procurement actions for privatized beds to attend the conference. It is suggested that environmental experts attend with potential contractors. The conference will be on January 26, 2000, in Washington, D.C. at the Hyatt Regency located at 400 New Jersey Avenue, N.W. (on Capitol Hill) in the Yorktown Room, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
