COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 10,2000 PSA#251299 -- INVITATION TO INDUSTRY FORUM -- CLASS 37 -- 51 -- 80 - Dear
Valued Partners: The Hardware & Appliances Center is expanding. To
further our expansion, a major effort is currently underway to
implement changes to the Multiple Award Federal Supply Schedules. In
order to keep you up to date on these changes, and to receive your
input to our proposed changes, we are conducting a GSA industry forum.
This forums will highlight the major changes being proposed and
provide updates on other topics such as "GSA Advantage!", JWOD, UNICOR,
SBA, Electronic Invoicing, Electronic Posting System. We will also be
introducing our newest lineup of service contracting, Preparation and
Application of Chemical Compounds "PACC(WORLD)", and the
"Beautification Center", which will include grounds maintenance,
pesticide application, tree trimming and removal, and snow removal. For
your convenience, an invitation to our forum is enclosed. Your
attendance at this forum is of utmost importance to us, and we
encourage your full participation. Through our relationship over the
years, our discussions have shown that it would be both advantageous and
beneficial to you and our customers, to simplify our buying process.
This will be accomplished by reorganizing our existing multiple award
Federal Supply Schedules 37 II A, 51 I B, 80 I A, and 80 III A, and
consolidating them into a single schedule under the: HardwareSuperstore
Specific information on these proposed changes and the items included
in each grouping will be posted on our new Internet website which is
http://pub.fss.gsa.gov/HardwareSuperstore. You may soon view the
proposed changes by clicking on our drop-down menu in the category
"What's New?", or a copy of the proposed changes may be obtained once
available, via written request at the telefax number stated below. Our
website will be interactive and we do encourage your input to our
proposed changes via "comments and suggestions". You may also telefax
your comments to (816) 823-3109. Finally, any information you require
relating to the above may be requested and received by calling Larry
Schmoll at (816) 823-1287, or Ellie Upchurch at (816) 926-7808. We
