CBD Notice -- GS-10P-00-LSD-0017 SIC Code 7381 -- Size Standard $9 million Contracting Officer: Patricia Tackett, 253-931-7486 Description: GSA has a requirement for armed guard services in the counties of King, Clark, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom and the city of Vancouver in the state of Washington and the entire state of Oregon. GSA does not intend to use Part 12 of the FAR for the acquisition being published. GSA intends to award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a base year, plus 4 option years, with the possibility of more than one award for each area. The period of performance is 6/1/00 through 5/31/01, with 4 one-year options. This requirement is totally set-aside for competitive 8(a) participation. Joint Ventures are allowable on competitive 8(a) set-asides. The joint venture agreement, however, must be complete and received by SBA prior to proposal due date and approved before award of a resulting contract. If you are contemplating a joint venture on this project, you must advise your assigned Business Opportunity Specialist (BOS) as soon as possible. It is also recommended that the agreement be submitted as soon as practicable to ensure compliance with established regulations.
