E-MAIL: Sally L Saunders, sally.saunders@dfrc.nasa.gov. NASA/DFRC is hereby soliciting information for potential sources for for the repair of building 4800 infrastructure. This will include modifications to the existing HVAC system by converting the constant volume air handling to variable air volume on the north end of the building, replacement of the existing steam heating coil in the air handling unit with steam to hot water heat transfer package and hot water piping to VAV units heating coil, modifications to the existing automatic control system to accomodate the HVAC modifications. The existing HVAC control systems and components are "Siemens Building Technology, Inc., Landis Division"; the new control system and components shall be manufactured and compatible with the same. Replacement of existing electrical panels and branch circuits for the building. Provide 120 VAC for each new VAV and CAV installed on the north wing of the building. This work will be phased. All construction work on the project will be performed during non-office hours form 4:30p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 366 calendar days after notice to proceed. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1542 and 17 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about Feb 1, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about March 1, 2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
