The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to negotiate an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-00-G-0193 with FLIR Systems Inc. to upgrade an existing UH-1N AN/AAQ-22 FLIR systems to the Brite STAR prototype configuration. The upgrade will include all current capabilities, incorporate a laser designator, incorporate a black and white camera, however color camera is acceptable, maintain current system mechanical envelope, use existing mounts, require no airframe change, increase less than 25 lbs. in weight, and be supported by existing UH-1N FLIR support equipment.
