Rowland, Contracting Officer, 315-476-7461, ext. 3599 This medical center intends to award an Architect/Engineer contract for preparation of working drawings and specifications, cost estimate, submittal review and other construction period service for Project 670-031, Renovate 1 South for Veterans Service Center, at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY. This project will renovate approximately 10,000 net square feet on the first floor of the medical center and the ambulance entrance dock and shelter. The project includes architectural enhancements to the parking garage entrance to the medical center and renovations to existing space to accomodate a number of outpatient business services. Drawings will be CADD generated with Auto Cadd. Specifications shall be compiled from VA master specifications which are available on the internet. Selection will be based on specialized experience, capability of the firm to perform, professional qualifications of the staff to be assigned to the projects and past record of performance in the form of a comparison between their estimates and actual project amounts. The area of consideration is restricted to firms within a 165 mile radius of the medical center. Appropriate data for this project must be submitted on forms SF 254 and SF 255 no later than February 10, 2000. Submission should emphasis exerience on similar projects.
