The Metropolitan Correctional Center, San Diego, located at 808 Union Street, San Diego, CA 92101-6078 is soliciting for Professional Medical Laboratory Services. The Laboratory Services contract will be awarded to the contractor who submits the best value offer. (a) The services will require a pickup within the greater metropolitan area of San Diego. This solicitation requires: 1) The services will be performed at the Contract Laboratory. 2) Specimens will be collected by institutional staff and the Contractor shall pickup specimens from the institution on a daily basis and provide written results on the following day. In addition, when requested, results will be provided by telephone with written results to follow. 3) Specimens will be accompanied by a request slip. 4) Award will be made on an All or None' basis. 5) The Contract Laboratory must possess and maintain for the duration of the contract: a) A current license/CLIA certification as a clinical laboratory in the State of California. b) Must bedirected by a licensed pathologist. c) Must be staffed by qualified and licensed technologists performing the tests. 6) Copies of the certifications must be furnished to the institution. 7) The Contractor must provide, at no cost to the Government, all necessary tubes, needles, forms, and any ancillary supplies neede to perform these tests. Services will be required from date of award thru 12 months with four option years.
